The place where the Assiniboine and Red Rivers join, you will find an entertainment and shopping district called the Forks. It had once been home to the railway repair facility and with time, many buildings have been restored to make room for interesting restaurants, shops, and museums. At Forks Market, you will find vegetable and fruit sellers in the main hall. I tasted the food cooked by the food vendors and I have to say that it was fresh and delicious. Oakville: Explore The Pristine Harbor City

To get away from the daily hustle-bustle of the city, I took a weekend trip to Oakville. This place has a small town feel to it and is a great option when it comes to the holiday destination. Only 30 kilometers drive from Toronto took me to this pristine city. However, it is often neglected by tourists. If you are ever in Toronto, I would ask you to spend a day or two in Oakville. Take a look at what you can do when you are in the city.

  • Relax in the park

Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a natural beauty. It is at the western edge of Oakville. Irrespective of the season you are visiting, this park will never disappoint you.
